YOTIS S.A. is giving a dynamic presence in the fight against low birthrate for the 8th consecutive year, through the Corporate Social Responsibility Program “A Hope is Born!”. The Program is successfully implemented in remote areas of the country, in collaboration with the Non-Governmental Organization HOPEgenesis.

Consistent throughout its commitment to supporting the Greek family, YIOTIS S.A. stands by young couples who wish to become parents, especially in the remote areas of our country, where conditions are even more difficult. The Program is implemented in 90 remote villages of the Regional Units of Arta, Evrytania, Fokida, Fthiotida and Evia, in 14 Municipal Units of the Municipalities of Central Tzoumerka, Karpenisi, Dorida, Lamia, Makrakomi and Karystos. A common feature of all is that their population presented a negative balance of births and deaths.

For each woman who joins the Program – with the exclusive criterion of being a permanent resident of the specific villages – YIOTIS S.A. fully covers the costs of pregnancy and childbirth. At the same time, it covers the nutritional needs of each newborn for the first two years of life, offering nutritious and high-quality baby milk and baby cream products. Since the program began, the Company has provided more than 250,000 meals of JOTIS baby milk and baby cream. The most important thing, however, is that with the support of YIOTIS S.A., 90 babies have been born to date, while 6 more births are expected soon. Particularly optimistic is the fact that through the Program many families had the joy of having a second or even third child.

The “A Hope is Born!” program of YIOTIS S.A. proves that supporting the Greek family can be done practically and effectively, even in the most remote areas of the country, and that corporate social responsibility can truly change lives.
