The innovative project “A hope is born!”, implemented by YIOTIS S.A. in cooperation with HOPEgenesis, fighting against low birth rates in Greece, was distinguished in the context of the Corporate Affairs Excellence Awards 2019 organized by EEDE, recognizing initiatives that are successful and have a positive impact and benefit to all stakeholders.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Program “A hope is born!” was awarded to YIOTIS S.A. under the “CSR Program / Action” category. YIOTIS Company also received a special prize for “Better Use of Performance Indicators”. The aim of the program is to support women living in 90 remote continental villages in Greece. YIOTIS S.A. takes over the costs of pregnancy and childbirth and covers baby food for the first two years of babies in order to alleviate the difficulties faced by women in these areas, given the prevailing conditions. Already through the program, the first four babies are born, and more births are expected.

As Mr. Marios Papathanasiou, Commercial Director of YIOTIS S.A. stated: “These particular awards are very moving. YIOTIS S.A. always supports the mother and the child. The program ‘A hope is born!’ is an initiative of genuine support and hope of the family, with the aim of combating sub birth in our country.
